Nascent Days @ ACCENTURE

My journey in Accenture started from 24 th August , 2011. The day when I entered a hall comprising 274 students, I was honestly feeling lost and shell shocked. The number of students was overwhelming and I felt that I have to be exceptional in order to carve a niche out for myself. Throughout the day, formalities were to be taken care of and sometimes one had to scratch and fight in order to get the work done. End of the day, all of us were so worn out that we wished beds would magically appear there and we could lie and sleep on them for eternity.

In subsequent days, motley people from partisan class came and delivered lectures on life at accenture, the policies, information security policy, salary structures and reimbursement procedures. I am still worried about getting back the money for my flight's ticket. Moving on, these two days were exciting too since I interacted with different people during lunch and tea breaks. I learned a thing here : The only universal language in the world is sign language. Eyes can speak. A smile can make one's day.

Soft skills program started from Monday. It's and exciting and fruitlful exercise, if we try and concentrate. The day was filled up with fun activities ranging from giving a presentation on 'Excitement and Apprehensions @ Accenture' to watching 'Italian job'. We played a blooper quiz too and sadly came 3rd ..huh. I hate to lose! The most interesting part of the day started with building of a garden city, Everyone was divided into groups and alloted work. On a personal note, I felt the whole system made by planners was crap, because they did not think of scaling up at all but I still suppressed my ego and let them work their way. ( I did fight and scream, but itna chalta  hai). I took up common areas and came up with the 'Temple of Love'. The whole group came up with three 'works of art'.
The end city had no garden courtesy the planners and one buliding was floating, but we defended it all and end of the day convinced our director that it was a great project.

HIGH PERFORMANCE. DELIVERED !!

Doomsday coming ...

Will we prove him right?

The credit rating of United States has downgraded from ‘AAA’ to ‘AA+’. Standard & Poor’s vital ratings are out for the economists to see and the bourgeois to feel. Uncle Sam, once seen as an impervious economy has been plagued by its government’s poor political and economical policies. United States of America, traditionally a safe investment destination is now in a financial bedlam. Similar economical upsets are spread across the euro zone. The last minute bail out of Greece is a prime example. In the immediate future, unless European Union drastically changes its policy, the other member European nations may also suffer the same fate as Greece.  Although, U.K. seems relatively immune from economic fallout yet the nation faces a rioting spree like never before. The houses are being burned, shops are being looted and the big shocker is that teenagers are an active part of this mob. The British government is unable to stop this menace because the police are inefficient. Arabian nations are breaking the shackles of dictatorship and the armed rebellions around the African continent are on show. NATO powered armed rebellion in Syria is playing its own part in the wasting important resources. Coming to the Indian sub-continent, terrorism and corrupt bureaucracy have become an integral part of incredible (pun-intended) India. The inability to handle these twin problems render the Indian government paralyzed.
In the United States, the Democrats never created an issue of raising the debt ceiling before. Congress has raised the debt ceiling several times in the past yet this time around they insisted on dealing with folded hands with the Republicans. The opposition is taking advantage of the situation and making a political agenda of an economic fallacy. They will follow this same policy until the next elections scheduled in November 2012. If this skanky politics is indeed prolonged for such a period, major domestic and industrial problems will surmount and the States may lose all its sheen. In essence, every predicament that affects United States is inevitably felt by the world. Seeing the superpower in a state of doldrums, anti-humane elements around the globe might seal the fate of governments. Anticipating growing fermentation owing to the present quandary, December 2012 might spell the end of the world order. Michel de Nostradame predicted this as early as the sixteenth century and Mayans ended their calendar on December 21, 2012. Bible calls it the judgement day.  Now, its upon us to aver this dreaded date. Unless foremost issues are handled pro-actively, doomsday will be waiting for us.
