The most prestigious award in the world is the Nobel Prize founded in 1901 by Alfred Bern hard Nobel. 
It is awarded in six categories :
1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Literature
4. Medicine
5. Biology
6. Economics

Pulitzer Award founded in 1917 for excellence in Journalism, music and literature.
Magsaysay Award founded in 1957 by Ramon Magsaysay, President of Philippines.
Templeton Award founded in 1972 and awarded to person who contributed in progress of religion.
Booker Prize founded in 1968, awarded to excellent writers.
